Santiago - President Luis Abinader inaugurated this Sunday the first stage of the Cable Car of this city.

The president was the first to address the mass transportation system that will help improve the quality of service offered to the population of the northern city.

The first stage will run from the Emiliano Tardiff station to the Yolanda Santana station in the La Yaguita de Pastor sector.

"Today is the fulfillment of a dream of which I am very proud, because it is not just another promise, but the faithful fulfillment of my commitment to improve the lives of the people, through the commissioning of the Santiago Cable Car," said the head of state.

The government is also building a monorail in this city that will transport thousands of passengers daily, who will travel from various points in the metropolis.
